We have constructed several subdivisions as turnkey operations. We have a network of professional and diligent subcontractors that help us to complete all phases of work in a timely manner. Our scope of work includes construction survey and layout, water and sewer installation, sight grading, concrete flatwork, complete roadway construction, and traffic control.

We also perform in-house quality control inspection on all manufactured materials. A portable laboratory is used to insure that hot mix asphalt products meet the industry standards for each type of construction. As deemed necessary, we contract with numerous independent testing firms to monitor construction activities on most government agency work.

Asphalt Constructors, Inc. has performed highway overlay and construction work since its inception in 1988. A variety of contracts have been completed for both State and Federal Agencies ranging from asphalt overlays, intersection improvement, highway widening, complete reconstruction, chip seal, and sign replacement contracts. Projects range in volume from $100,000 to $3.5 million and in length from 1/4 mile to 119 miles long.

We also have extensive experience in airport construction. Thirteen airport projects have been completed including new runway and taxi-way construction, asphalt overlays, and apron reconstruction.

In 2006, under contract with the Federal Highway Administration and the National Park Service we reconstructed the road system and parking lots in the Great Sand Dunes National Park. The project was completed in a timely manner, and despite several construction changes completed under budget and to the satisfaction of the multi-government agencies involved.
