EQUAL OPPORTUNITY POLICY STATEMENT

 

PURPOSE:  

This document sets forth policy guidelines and the organizational structures of the Equal Opportunity (EO) Program for Asphalt Constructors, Inc., (ACI).  This is applicable to all officers and employees of ACI.

 

POLICY:      

It is the policy of ACI, to provide equal opportunity in employment for all people without discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or handicapping conditions, and to promote the full realization of equal opportunity through laws and executive orders, and shall be an integral part of personnel policy and practice in the employment, development, advancement, and treatment of employees.  Sufficient recourses to administer the EO Program in a positive and effective manner will be provided.

 

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM PERSONNEL:         

An Equal Opportunity Officer is on staff to insure that employees are informed of their rights as provided by EO laws and regulations. Members of the staff of the EO office are available to assist managers and supervisors in carrying out their responsibilities in the provision of equal opportunity and affirmative employment actions.

 

THE AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN: 

The plan is ACI’s positive commitment to assure equal opportunity for employers and applicants.  Affirmative action includes but is not limited to recruiting, hiring, placement, training, promoting, career counseling, and equal treatment of employees.  Each manager and supervisor is charged with affirmatively addressing the correction of the under represented areas.  Each manager and supervisor plays a major role in the accomplishments of ACI’S Affirmative Action Plan.
